Cedric "The Entertainer" Charitable Foundation
The love of learning through travel coupled with the spirit of achievement through higher education is the catalyst for the Cedric “The Entertainer” Charitable Foundation (CTECF). Founded in 1996 by comic actor Cedric “The Entertainer” and his sister Sharita Kyles Wilson, the foundation is committed to enhancing the lives of youth and families. Therefore, the foundation’s mission is two-fold:
1) To provide moral and financial
support for youth and families by providing college scholarships
and opportunities for educational travel.
2) To reach and assist an increasing
number of youth and families via collaborations and partnerships
with other corporations, organizations, and individuals who value
and support our efforts.
To that end, the foundation has established several ways “To reach out and give back” to the community:

Cedric's Entourage
Cedric “The Entertainer’s” Entourage Program
has been designed to enlighten and educate youth by providing travel
opportunities. Since 1998, CTECF has invited members of Mathews-Dickey’s
Boys & Girls Club to participate in this unique project.
A group of youth ranging from ages 10 to 18 years old is taken on
a 2-3 day excursion consisting of visits to museums, national monuments,
college campuses, professional sporting events, Broadway musicals,
and various other activities in cities such as Atlanta and Chicago.
In recent years, the Entourage program has evolved into a grant
opportunity for public schools and social support agencies to provide
similar travel opportunities for youth.
CTECF is incorporated as a
non-profit organization in the state of Missouri and has 501(c)3
status with the IRS.
